Course Overview:

STEM: Science, technology, engineering, AND math? That’s a lot of complex material to cram into one acronym. Fortunately for young learners, robotics makes STEM simple and fun to learn.

There are endless educational possibilities with robotics, and it’s easy to tackle each area of STEM in a fun way. Sharpening math skills? Check. Learning computer science? Definitely. Engineering and technology? Yes!

This skill is indispensable in 21st century, a critical factor for innovation, learning robotics will make young minds more ready for the next generation technology.

“Programming with robotics” course provides a launching pad for students to explore different learning pathways. This course will help the students to develop an interest in coding whereby students can build their own robotics learning pathways, offering an open platform where students can experiment and learn.

This course will help students strengthen their creativeness and develop deep critical thinking ability which can change the way students learn and ultimately create a more knowledgeable and well-adjusted student.

Course Outline

This curriculum is designed to take place over the course of 4 weeks. Every week, two 90 mins lessons are to be taught. While this curriculum given below is described in detail, we acknowledge that teachers know their students best. Therefore, teachers should adjust activities and lessons to accommodate both the classroom culture and students’ technological experience and developmental levels. ® Introduction to robotics, microprocessor & Arduino. ® Software & hardware, parts of Arduino. ® Ohm’s law, positive & negative connection, series connection, mini projects. ® Bread board, block coding, hardware programming projects. ® Introducing to new hardware & pins. Developing projects with it. ® Application of resistors in electronics, electricity flow, introducing to new hardwires. ® Real life projects with the introduced hardwires ® Electrical signals, electronics colour concept, projects.
